If You Love Me
Do Not Iniquity
This writing is not intended to be a complete telling of this topic,
but with a thought to brevity, it should allow for good learning.
Probably no topic or issue can stand alone without consideration for information from other topics and issues.
Therefore, for better understanding of terms and concepts used herein, other papers should be read
in conjunction with this paper and others.  One in particular for early reading is What is in a Name

How might you show your love for someone?  Is it in the candy you give them?  Is it spending time with them?  Is it in the crass commercialized greeting cards?  Is it in the words you speak?  Is it in the deeds your perform?  Is it something else?  Depending on whom you ask, you will no doubt get different answers.

Israel (the creator) in his position of Father and Husband to His people (Israel the people, Israelites, Tribes of Israel, Children of Israel, House of Israel), told His people how to show their love for Him.

If You Love Me, Obey Me

It is that simple - obey. It should make you wonder why “christians” and their leaders make it difficult.  If fact, why do they do almost anything to avoid obedience?  Do you think I exaggerate?  Have you not heard someone preach that we are no longer under the law, but rather we are now under grace?  There are several doctrines that all teach that certain peoples do not, or no longer have to, obey the law.

There is an instruction that says God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, and he is the Word, therefore, the word is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow [Hebrews 13:8 en# 1].  Moreover, Yahshua himself said he did not come to do away with His law  [Matthew 5:17 en# 2].  For more on that see the study “The Gospel -Why Yahshua HAD to die” available from the same source as this study.

If Yahshua did not do away with the law, and He/His word was and still is, then the law is still in force and applicable.  Anyone who teaches contrary is calling Yahshua a liar.

Yahshua told us many things regarding showing our love for him.  He certainly said “If you love me, keep my commandments” [John 14:15 en# 3], if you love me, “teach my sheep” [John 21:15-17 en# 4].  I know that the language in John 21 is a little different, but that is the meaning.

John, in chapter 14, tells of Yahshua's instruction, “if you love me, keep my commandments”.  On its face, this instruction seems simple enough.  I know there are many “christians” and their leaders who will find ways to twist that verse into anything but what it plainly says.

For those of you who are honest enough to let scripture speak to you, look a little further through John 14.  Verses 21-23 explains that those who know Yahshua’s commandments and keeps them is a person who loves Yahshua, and those people will Israel (the creator) love.  Do you realize that this says God’s love is conditional?  Not only will he love you IF you obey him, but IF you love him you will obey him.

How Might God’s People Obey Him?
Obey, is Keeping His Instructions

Continuing in John 21, we find Yahshua asking Peter, 3 TIMES, if Peter loved Yahshua.  All 3 times Peter said yes and each time Peter seemed more agitated, which would be expected.  Each time, Yahshua replied with a simple instruction – Tend my sheep.  What is certain is, Yahshua did not mean give some people bread and potatoes.

The word “feed” as used in verses 15, 16 & 17 means to “tend”. Hence, Disciples of Yahshua (a people known as Israelites) were to tend to the requisites of the soul.  In other words, “teaching” “the lost sheep of the house of Israel” [Matthew 10:6 en# 19 and Matthew 15:24 en# 20] the instructions given by Israel (the creator).

You still have your doubts about feeding and tending Yahshua/Israel’s (the creator) sheep? Then let us look at Matthew 4:4 [en# 6] and Luke 4:4 [en# 7] and Deuteronomy 8:3 [en# 8].  It follows that Yahshua wanted Peter and all Disciples to feed “the lost sheep of the house of Israel” “with every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”.

What words are those which proceeded from the mouth of God?  John 1:1-9 [en# 5] tells us that Yahshua/Israel (the creator) is the Word.  Therefore, albeit seemingly simple, the words which proceeds from God’s mouth is God himself.

In Matthew 4:4 and Luke 4:4 Yahshua shows this feeding as being the ingestion of the word of God. Yahshua says that what we eat is not enough to live, but we need EVERY word of God.  This supports Yahshua’s command to Peter to tend/feed His flock.  The Word is the Scriptures and are the instructions (law - torah) from Israel (the creator).

It seems that Yahshua/Israel (the creator) wants us to show our love for him by keeping his instructions (often called law or torah), AND by teaching these instructions (feeding) to his sheep.

Both Matthew and Luke say this instruction is ALREADY written (prior to the coming of Yahshua) and they are referring the likes of Deuteronomy 8:3.

It follows that failing or refusing to do these things, learning and teaching and living the instructions of Israel (the creator), is an exercise in lawlessness (iniquity), even sin.  Without law.

What does Yahshua say about iniquity?

By parable and prophesy, and referring to the time of the wedding ceremony (between Israel (the creator) and His chosen/elected people (Israelites), Yahshua explains that some will not be part of the whole of the bride, because of their iniquity.  Iniquity is lawlessness or without law.

In the likes of Matthew 7:15 [en# 9.1], 2 Timothy 3:5 [en# 10.1], Yahshua said we should beware of those who look like and act like His flock, but are secretly wolves.  These are people, whether preachers or pewers (those who sit in pews) who look like docile creatures (sheep), BUT they are really in costume and are leading the flock over the cliff.  Those who are alert and obeying, have the chance to go contrary to the flow of the masses.

After warning the people to beware of these false teachers, Yahshua tells what will happen to those false teachers.

Matthew is telling us here that at the end of the age, there will be a people who will profess their GOOD DEEDS and Yahshua will tell them he NEVER knew them because they worked INIQUITY.  Notice, Yahshua never comments on the good deeds.  Those good deeds may well have been wonderful and desirable to Yahshua, BUT, those deeds did not compensate for the LAWLESSNESS (without law) those people committed.

Who (what class/group of people) would prophesy in His name?  Who (what class/group of people) would cast out devils in His name?  Who (what class/group of people) would do many wonderful works in His name?  It is not the common man or follower, but it is the priests, pastors, preachers and ministers and such.

Then, Luke 13:23:27 [en# 11] is telling the same report.  These people will plead with Yahshua to open the doors to the wedding ceremony and they express their credentials, being their GOOD DEEDS, and Yahshua will tell them he does not know from what they come.  Yahshua tells them to leave his presence because they worked INIQUITY.  Notice, again, Yahshua never comments on the good deeds.  Those good deeds may well have been wonderful and desirable to Yahshua, BUT, those deeds did not compensate for the LAWLESSNESS those people committed.

We have seen how the teachers and preachers will be treated at the wedding ceremony, but what of the pewers (those who sit in the pews)?  Matthew reports what Yahshua had to say on the matter.  In Matthew 25:11-12 [en# 12], Yahshua is telling of two groups of people, where some people were prepared for tribulation (hard times, without warning) and others were not.  Those prepared, are allowed to enter the marriage ceremony and the non-prepared people are turned away.  Yahshua says to the non-prepared, that he does not know them.  This is like Matthew 7:23 [en# 9.2].  These virgins are ill-prepared, as a people who were not properly taught or refused to learn, choosing rather to follow doctrines that tickle their ears.  These people followed priests, pastors, preachers and ministers and such who failed and/or refused to teach the instructions of Yahshua/Israel (the creator).

Iniquity is not just violating the law/instructions, but also is not following those instructions and not teaching those instructions.  Failing or refusing to teach those instructions is possibly the greatest of violations of those instructions.

How to Identify a False Teacher & Willfully Ignorant Sheep

Paul tells Timothy [2 Timothy 3:12 through 2 Timothy 4:4 en# 13] that the time will come(a time in the future from their time and obviously prior to Yahshua's return) when the pewers will CHOOSE to refuse sound teachings which do not make them FEEL good, but rather they will seek teachers/preachers who please their ears.  These people CHOOSE to believe lies (fables).  So, when an average "christian" is presented with irrefutable evidence that their beliefs are based on falsehoods or that their preachers are mis-representing the facts and Scripture, they CHOOSE to attack the facts and cleave closer to their falsehoods.  OR, they might say something like "It depends on how you interpret it".

The preachers are those who promise to discuss it but rarely keep the appointment.  Or they will mumble something almost meaningless.  Or they will espouse doctrine which is not supported with Scripture.  You can even follow the money trail.

End Time Examples of Deception

We are given some examples of deception which apply in these end times.

Paul tells us that the influence of these teachers of falsehood will creep into homes and tempt people with varied lusts [2 Timothy 3:6 en# 10.2].  Most people will not even realize they are following the wrong path.  Many are following false doctrines, false teachers, false prophets

Surely, you already know that many “churches” (which has its origin from the word circus) teach that the old text is done away and you do not have to give it any mind.  But, Paul is saying that ALL of scripture is intended and needed for teaching, testing, correcting, and instruction of your righteousness [2 Timothy 3:16 en# 10.3].  Do you know of any preacher or circus (church) which proclaims the law is abolished, or that people do not have to follow the law?  Of course you do.  Remember, earlier in this study, Yahshua said he did not come to abolish the law.  Hence, if any teach the law is abolished, they are teaching falsely.

Paul keeps telling us much on this topic.  As discussed earlier in this study, Paul also says that the time will come [has come] when people will NOT endure sound doctrine.  Instead, they will seek their lusts and eagerly follow teachers who tickle their ears.  These are people who choose [and it is a choice] these teachers of falsehood because it feels good, and does not condemn them.  This is happening right now in an ever BIG way.  If you deny its existence, you are a liar.

Peter warns us that we have false teachers among us and they promote DAMNABLE heresies.  These false teachers will deny Israel (the creator) and teach contrary to the plain understanding of Scripture [2 Peter 2:1-2 en# 15]].  How better to deny God than to speak contrary to what he said?  How better to deny God than to teach something of the fleshly world, while calling it spirit?  By example, how many "christian" teachers/preachers do you know who do not even know the name of the Messiah?  It is Yahshua.  How many do you know who do not know the name of the Father?  It is Israel.  How many do you know who use some other names or titles as names?  Nearly all of them.

When these teachers hear the truth or are presented with the truth and say and do anything to avoid it, what do you expect them to teach you?  These false teachers are cleverly groomed, situated and presented.  First, they are preying (not praying) on the emotions of the masses, and usually the women.  How many homes today do anything without the approval of the master – the woman?  So, it makes sense that gaining strong influence over the masses can be achieved by playing to the women.

Even this method of controlling the masses is an old practice.  Paul tells Timothy that these false teachings and many other things will come slowly into the homes and grab the attention of the emotional side of our societies.  The KNOWLEDGE of the people in these women led homes will increase.  BUT, it will not be the knowledge which Israel (the creator) wants them to have [2 Timothy 3:6-7 en# 10.3].

About this time, many are screaming that this is about hating women.  The statement of fact is a different thing than a statement of opinion.  There is an old axiom, “do not shoot the messenger”.  There is still a vital distinction between the Truth and a Lie, between fact and fiction, between the story and the story-teller.  If you are having a reaction such as thinking this a about hating women, then maybe you are one of those intended in verses like 2 Timothy 3 [en# 10.4]

Matthew is fairly strong, [Matthew 7:15 en# 9.3], when he says lots of false prophets will arise (like the enumerable ones on TV and new “circuses” popping up on almost every city block) and they will deceive MANY.  How will they deceive the many?  Matthew continues and tells us these false prophets will cause iniquity to be prolific and many people will not know how to love, and I dare say this includes loving Israel (the creator) [Matthew 24:11-12 en# 16.1].  Of course Paul told Timothy about how these false teachers will creep into homes through the emotional side of our societies [2 Timothy 3:6-7 en# 10.5].

Matthew says these false teachers will show GREAT “signs and wonders” and their influence will be so great that they might deceive even the chosen people of Israel (the creator) [Matthew 24:24 en# 16.2].  With people the likes of Andrew Wommack, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, John Hagee, LaHaye, and many more, claiming “healing” and “resurrections”, are these not great signs and wonders?  If you saw what looked like a person being healed or being raised from the dead, might you be at least impressed?  But, the propaganda is more insidious than that.  These people usually “claim” having done the deed, but few have witnessed it.  Surely, it is not on tape, whereby affording a little scrutiny.  Even those which are witnessed, their credibility unravels under outside examination.  This is not to take away anything from faith, but sometimes you have to follow the money trail and those "prosperity doctrines" in which the only ones prospering are the circuses.

In Mark 13:22 [en# 17] we are told basically the same thing Matthew said in Matthew 24:24.

John begs you to not blindly follow every (any) spirit (teacher), but rather to test their teachings and intent [1 John 4:1 en# 18.1].  John explains that this is because MANY false prophets (teachers) will be in the world.  Look at the TV and all the circuses (for profit groups called churches), there are a lot of them.  Pay attention and you will even notice that many of them talk on the same topics during any given few weeks.  That is because they get their marching orders from the "National Council of Churches" and "World Council of Churches".

If You Love Me .....

As we started in this study, John makes an interesting request of us.  He beseeches us to love one another.  As we learned earlier, Yahshua/Israel (the creator) wants us to show our love for HIM by practicing his instructions and teaching those instructions.  Does it make sense that he would want us to show love for our fellow man (especially fellow Israelites) by practicing and teaching His instructions [1 John 4:7-12 en# 18.2]?  Of course it makes sense.

AND, IF THAT IS NOT ENOUGH

We can go further.  Evidently, if you love God, you will learn, teach and do his instructions.  Yahshua was asked a very important question, which should be on everyones mind.  Luke 10:25-8 en# 21] reports on the question.  Theese three references are all reporting on the ONLY thing we are offered or promised - to have eternal life as our inheritance of the Kingdom of Heaven.  We are not offered or promised going to Heaven, we are offered or promised only eternal life, on Earth.  Luke is reporting that Yahshua is asked about what should be done to inherit eternal life.  Yahshua refers the man to what is already written (note this already writtten stuff is the old text and not one bit of it is new text) and asks the man what is written.  The man answers he (we) should love God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our strength, and with all our mind; and the man adds that he (we) should love our neighbour as ourself.  Yahshua tells the man he is correct and if he does these things he will live.

Do you find it a little interesting that the path to the ONLY thing offered or promised us is gained by obedience to the instructions of God?  If you love God you will learn, keep and do his instructions.  AND, if you want the ONLY thing offered or promised us then you will learn, keep and do his instructions.

Matthew 19:16-17 en# 19] and Mark 10:17-19 en# 20] also report on the same question.  Yahshua basically says "keep the commandments" and lists a few of them to make certain everyone know we are talking about the instructions from God.

But, “I” will not be Deceived

Hah.  Many are ALREADY so deceived they cannot see the forest for the trees.  The power of deception will be so great that it could deceive even the Israelites, the chosen of Israel (the creator), [Matthew 24:24 en# 16.3].  Without going into it here, Scriptures indicates that LESS THAN 1/3 of the inhabitants of Earth will have opportunity enter the Kingdom.  So, this indicates that a majority of people WILL be deceived.  Maybe even this writer.

Man plots, God laughs.

Hebrews 13:6  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Matthew 5:14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
  16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

John 21:9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Matthew 10:5  These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

Matthew 15:21  Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Matthew 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Luke 4:1-7  And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

Deuteronomy 8:1 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
6 Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

2 Timothy 3:1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Luke 13:20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

2 Timothy 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 4:1  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
 12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
 13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Matthew 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Mark 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Matthew 19:15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Mark 10:16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Luke 10:23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:
24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
