One in particular for early reading is What is in a Name |
It is so very sad that many people are planning to leave early (pre-tribulation rapture aka "I am out of here"), but they generally are also planning to go to the wrong place. It is rather like getting on the wrong train at the wrong time AND discovering it is going to the wrong place.
The rapture doctrine lies are discussed in other papers (click here for a look at getting on the wrong train) and will not be discussed here, but may be referenced. Suffice it to say there is no "rapture", wherein Yah's chosen people or elect are TAKEN in advance of the Tribulation or spared suffering it.
Many folk often declare they are "Going to Heaven" or some such reference. There is no evidence in Scripture that any of us are going to Heaven. In fact, John 3:13 (en# 18) tells us that no man has gone to Heaven. Yes, Yah resides in Heaven, but we have no promise or offering for going to Heaven. We are offered and promised (conditionally) to "Inherit" the "Kingdom" of "Heaven". The Kingdom of something is different than the thing of which the kingdom is part.
A kindom has 4 elements, which are --
-- A soveriegn
-- Subjects
-- Territory
-- Laws
Each of these will be found in the Kingdom of Heaven. The sovereign is Yah, the subjects are the people who are "saved", the territory is Earth, the Laws are the Word of Yah. Some of this is getting ahead of itself, so let us take a look at how this is determined. I doubt anyone will disagree with 3 of the 4 elements, but the one about territory will meet the biggest wall, so let us look at it.
Chances are, you are one of the many who believe that those saved will go to some mystical, spiritual place called Heaven. This would be true for most any religion and sects. But, let us see what the Scriptures that follow in the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob have to say about the matter.
Who are the meek? Why do I ask? Look at Numbers 12:3 (en# 1), Psalms 22:26 (en# 2), Psalm 25:9 (en# 3), Psalm 37:11 (en# 4), Psalm 76:9 (en# 5), Psalm 147:6 (en# 6), Matthew 5:5 (en# 7), Matthew 11:29 (en# 8) and Matthew 21:5 (en# 9). Each of these seem to indicate that those who will be identified as Yah's people are also known as the meek. This is not to say only the meek will be identified as Yah's people, but in these verse sets we have clues to our quest. We are not necessarily defining "meek" here, just that Scripture uses that word to describe Yah's people.
In Numbers 12:3, Moses is referred as a very meek man, and surely the man trusted with the Law of Yah will be counted as one of the people of Yah, in the Kingdom.
In Psalm 25:9, Yah gives special attention to the meek to teaching His way through judgment.
The meek will inherit the Earth and delight in LOTS of peace. This statement is found in Psalm 37:11 and sounds like a thousand years of peace from Revelation.
More shadows of Revelation are found in Psalm 76:9.
Then there are those Blessings that seem to go to the people of Yah, the saved. In Matthew 5:5, the meek are among the list of who is blessed.
So, we can see that these meek people are those that are saved and they will inherit Earth. If, as most people in the churchcraft believe, the reward for those who are saved is to “go to Heaven”, then this “Heaven” must be on Earth.
But in Revelation 5:10, after the seventh seal is opened, we find that those who were redeemed shall be “kings” and “priests” reigning on Earth.
Some who believe the rapture doctrine use 1 Thessalonians 4:17 as a proof of a rapture. But the meeting Israel (Yahshua, or for the unlearned – Jesus) in the air is merely a transformation the likes of what happened to Yahshua after he arose from the dead. Remember he was physical, but could walk through walls, kind of spirit like. We are told the people in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 will "meet" Israel in the air. While "air" refers to "spirit", like that of Yahshua after rising from the dead, the important issue here is the "meeting". Many understandably think the meeting place (although "place" is erroneous here) is also the destination. But, nothing indicates that the "meeting" is the "end" or "destination". If we meet him, then surely we go someplace afterwards. In the case of 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Yah's people will return to Earth and reign as kings and priests (Revelation 5:10).
Looking at Romans 6:23 (en# 10), we see that the price for sinning is death and the reward for loving Yah is eternal life.
If death is the price for sinning and sinning is the transgression of Yah’s Law (1 John 3:4) (en# 11) and such is our inquities, and if for your inquities Yah “knows you not” (Luke 13:23) (en# 12), then death is separation from Yah as told in Isaiah 59:2 (en# 13).
“I know you not”, means none existence – death.
Having said all that, is to show that the rewards of obedience is LIFE. That life is on Earth. Those of us who are rewarded inherit Earth and all that has been made of it.
We are told that if we Love Yah, we will keep his Laws. John 14:15 & 23 (en# 20), as well as others make this clear. Among other things, it seems that if you Love Yah you will not sin and will keep his Laws, and if you do not sin you will have eternal life. Yes, for those of you who want to push the forgiveness angle, you are correct, we are afforded forgiveness for our transgressions. But even that angle only guarantees you get a part inheritance in the Kingdom, your level is determined by your blessings and lack of needing forgiveness. By the same token, just because you are afforded forgiveness, is no excuse to continue sinning. After all that, the question is - where this life will be.
Another hint to those who are transgressing the Law is found in Revelation 11:18 (en# 14). We are told Yah will destroy those who destroy Earth. There are many ways to be a destroyer of Earth. If you destroy the inhabitants who are of Earth, then you are working destruction on Earth. If you destroy the resources of Earth, then you are working destruction on Earth. This destruction can take many forms, such as physical, financially, ecologically and more.
Why is it important for Yah to be concerned about those who are destroying Earth? Because the people of Yah will be using Earth as their home and it will be the place they reign as kings and priests.
The blessed will inherit the Kingdom (Matthew 25:34 (en# 15), 1 Corinthians 6:8-10 (en# 16) and Galations 5:21 (en# 17)). Remember Matthew 5:5, where the meek are blessed?
For more on the issue of "Heaven" and "hell", please see the paper on the topic. (click here for a look at that paper)
We are promised only to “inherit the Kingdom of Heaven (God)” and not
to “go to Heaven”. We, if found worthy, will inherit Earth.

Numbers 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses
because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married
an Ethiopian woman.
2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only
by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the
men which were upon the face of the earth.)
4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto
Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation.
And they three came out.

Psalm 22:24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the
affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but
when he cried unto him, he heard.
25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation:
I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall
praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for
ever.
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and
turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before
thee.

Psalm 25:1 {A Psalm of David.} Unto thee, O LORD, do
I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed,
let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let
them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou
art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy
lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions:
according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will
he teach sinners in the way.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek
will he teach his way.
10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth
unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity;
for it is great.

Psalm 37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness
as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the
man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not
thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that
wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall
not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not
be.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall
delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth
upon him with his teeth.
13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that
his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have
bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be
of upright conversation.

Psalm 76:6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot
and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may
stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven;
the earth feared, and was still,
9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek
of the earth. Selah.
10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the
remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
11 Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all
that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is
terrible to the kings of the earth.

saying,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is
the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be
comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit
the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after
righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain
mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall
see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be
called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness'
sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and
persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for
my sake.

Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that
sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with
seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud
voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under
the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy
to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not:
behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed
to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne
and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as
it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven
Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right
hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts
and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one
of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of
saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy
to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and
hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue,
and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:
and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many
angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number
of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb
that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength,
and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on
the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that
are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power,
be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and
ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four
and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and
ever.

1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the
word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of
the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven
with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with
the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the
Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants
of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was
delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the
servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the
infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to
uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members
servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were
free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof
ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become
servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting
life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift
of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath
bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the
world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth
not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear,
we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth
himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the
law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away
our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever
sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many,
I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up,
and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock
at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and
say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and
drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not
whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened,
that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you

hear.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your
fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered

sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy
great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is
come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou
shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints,
and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them

Galations 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and
ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and
the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other:
so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under
the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which
are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations,
wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings,
and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you
in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom

longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily,
I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom
of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born
when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and
be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the
kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and
that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be
born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest
the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it
goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can
these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a
master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that
we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe
not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he
that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have eternal life.

John 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the
Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth
on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these
shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that
will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will
do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give
you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him;
for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come
to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no
more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father,
and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them,
he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father,
and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how
is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love
me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come
unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings:
and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet
present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and
bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto
you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.
