The enigma of the veil |

by REBECCA FOWLER, Daily Mail
The young woman lowers her veiled head and dutifully takes off her
shoes to enter the women's prayer room at a London mosque. There is something
compelling in her piercing dark eyes, but her voice is strangely ordinary
as she declares her allegiance to the Moslem holy war. She has a slight
cockney accent.
At the age of 24, Tabassam is the half-hidden face of Islamic fundamentalism in Britain. She has worn a veil since she was 16, and she now also uses it to cover her features in photographs. She fears for her safety after attending a demonstration at the Pakistani embassy last weekend. |
Even her neighbours in South London have stopped talking to her since she publicly declared her support for Osama Bin Laden's jihad (holy war). They used to stop for a chat if they saw her outside the front door, but these days when she passes they go inside without saying a word.
Yet Tabassam has still agreed to meet to explain why any woman or man raised in Britain would support the Islamic spiritual call to arms, after the atrocities in the U.S. in which up to 7,000 innocent people perished, including a number of Moslems.
In fact, she considers it her spiritual duty enthusiastically to defend her commitment to her faith. As Tabassam's two daughters, aged one and three, play with crayons beside her, she outlines her unnerving mission to justify her support of the Taliban regime from her London home.
'As a Moslem, you have a duty to protect yourself and your Moslem brothers and sisters,' she says. 'I am a Moslem before I am British. It's not a question of whether I would fight for Osama Bin Laden. It's a question of whether I would fight for Islam, and if they do bomb Afghanistan then it is our duty.'
Although she insists that she condemns the killing of any innocent people, she dreams one day of a Moslem state ruled by the ancient Islamic laws - including capital punishment and the stoning of adulterers - and she is dismissive of democracy.
'I've lived in a democracy all my life,' she says. 'And as far as I'm concerned it doesn't work. Look at the homeless people, look at the people who have nothing here. Islam is a system that allows everyone to be free, in which the only sovereignty belongs to God, not to a man like Tony Blair.'
As she momentarily breaks off to rescue her young daughter from falling over, it is almost impossible to marry the image of this laughing young mother, who is charming and humorous, and the hardened woman who transforms into a belligerent zealot at the mention of Islam.
Any failings of her own culture are immediately blamed on U.S. foreign policy, which she insists has drained predominantly Moslem nations of their wealth and independence.
But Tabassam's world is one of endless and infuriating contradictions. How could she seriously support a war in which innocent people will almost certainly die?
How can she support the Taliban regime, which has driven hundreds of thousands of fellow Moslems to the brink of starvation as they flee for the borders? How could she not want to see the campaign of terrorism brought to an end? Why does she stay here if she is so scathing of life under democratic rule?
And most of all, how could she have grown up in Britain and not value the freedom of speech that allows her to speak out so openly in the first place? That is one of the very rights that we are now intent on protecting against terror-ists for future generations - including her own daughters.
As Tabassam espouses her faith with unquestioning devotion, it would be easy to imagine her being born into extremism, raised in virtual purdah in London.
Nothing could be further from the truth. She was brought up by moderate parents, with only a passing interest in practising their faith.
Like a growing number of her generation of British-born Moslems, Tabassam has taken up the faith with far more zeal than her parents ever did. While her mother and father were more interested in integrating, being accepted, working hard and educating their children, she has returned to her roots with a passion.
'The Government always chooses these so- called moderate Moslems to represent us in Parliament,' she says. 'That's their idea of the acceptable face of Islam. But the fact is either you are a Moslem or you are not. You practise or you do not. There is no compromise.'
Tabassam's father, who came to London from Pakistan when he was 11, made leather jackets for a living. Her mother, who was born in Middlesbrough but whose parents also came from Pakistan, stayed at home to raise their four children. They hoped that their two daughters and two sons might go to university.
It was clear that Tabassam, the oldest, was a bright girl. But she also enjoyed the typical trappings of teenage life. She listened to pop music - she had posters of boy band Take That on her bedroom wall - and there was talk of her becoming a teacher or a nurse.
She began A-level courses in English and health and social studies at the local college at the age of 16. But then the Gulf War broke out, which she claims was a turning point in her life.
'I'd always tried to be the same as everyone else,' she says. 'But I was never the same. I was always the "Paki" or the Asian girl trying to fit in. When the war started against Iraq, people began asking me questions about being Moslem and it made me question myself.
'My parents were wondering what had happened to me and why I was suddenly so interested in learning about Islam. I found it wonderful and brilliant. It covered every aspect of how you should live your life.'
Tabassam had a profound conversion. Instead of pursuing a place at university, she took a job at a local chemist's in order to fund herself through a two-year course in Sharia law - the strict Islamic code which states that death should be the punishment for murderers, rapists and drug smugglers.
She encouraged her parents to renew their faith in Islam and took to covering her head.
'We're not oppressed because we cover,' she says. 'We are simply following the word of the creator as written in the Koran. It is the women here who are slaves. They are slaves to a society that tells them they must be a size 8 and be skinny to the point of anorexia.
'The creator, for us, is neither a man nor a woman. And men are also expected to cover. They are not allowed to show the area from their navel to their knees.'
Tabassam's zeal for her newfound faith grew by the day. She joined the circuit of Islamic conferences (in which fundamentalists gathered to exchange views) and met her husband, an electrical engineer.
His faith was even stronger than hers and he telephoned her father to request permission to speak to Tabassam. They were married within three months.
Now, her days consist of the five obligatory daily prayer sessions, caring for her family, and lecturing to other women, on 'Fiqh' - the various systems of Islamic life, from education, economics and punishment to the reasons why women cover themselves in public.
She rises at 6.30 every morning for the dawn prayer session. She then goes back to bed until 8am, when her daughters awake. They are already being taught about Islam using Islamic cartoons and story books, and they all attend the mosque on Fridays.
When men visit her husband at their home, she immediately goes into another room and does not socialise with them. But the family does enjoy some aspects of Western culture. The only meat they eat is halal, but their favourite food is pasta and they often go to restaurants.
She still listens to pop music, as long as it does not contain references to sex or religion, which limits the choice, and she no longer likes former Take That star Robbie Williams. Despite her misgivings about the American imperialist culture, after we met she took the children to McDonald's for a filet of fish.
Both Tabassam and her 19-year-old friend Umm Abdullah, who has accompanied her to the mosque to speak about their faith, often go to the homes of other Islamic women in order to teach. They are meticulously well-practised in defending all aspects of Islam.
When tackled about any of the atrocities allegedly carried out in the name of Islam, they either dismiss them as false Western propaganda or believe that the attackers were not true adherents of the Koran.
They are particularly keen to denigrate Saudi Arabia, which they say has allowed Western 'infidels' to be stationed in the land of Mecca and joined the alliance against Bin Laden.
'For 1,500 years there is evidence that only a few hands were chopped off in the name of Islam,' says Umm Abdullah. 'Perhaps only a total of 500. Now, in Saudi Arabia, the authorities use it as an excuse to hurt anyone they don't like, including coloureds and Pakistanis.'
By contrast, they will not condemn Bin Laden for allegedly masterminding the U.S. terrorist hijacks. Although they condemn the violent death of innocents, they insist that there is still no evidence linking him personally to the attacks.
'He is our Moslem brother and is still in the fold of Islam,' says Tabassam. 'He is our brother until he chooses to leave that fold, so we must accept his word that he was not involved. It is also the duty of all Moslems to defend themselves and anyone else against attack. We are simply following our duty.'
When those first shocking images of New York in flames were broadcast to the world, Tabassam was watching Crossroads on television.
They interrupted the programme with footage of the World Trade Centre towers and she was as stunned as anyone to see the horror unfolding.
'Obviously I was sad watching it,' she says. 'There were also over 1,000 Moslems in there, as well as all of those who live in the area around.'
But Tabassam was also furious that the immediate assumption was that the attacks were linked to Moslem terrorists. Even now, in the face of mounting evidence, she is still reluctant to accept that the deaths of so many innocent people could be linked to Islam.
For comitted Moslems, there are three types of jihad - which translates directly as 'struggle'. It might take the form of verbal support, which Tabassam is now giving, or economic aid, or ultimately it might mean going to Afghanistan to offer physical help.
'It is sinful to be oppressed and not speak up about it,' she says. 'The way Moslems are being treated here now is disgusting. The fact that my neighbours no longer speak to me, that Moslems have been attacked in the street, their veils pulled and their clothes set on fire, and that mosques have been attacked is all terrible.
'And it is also terrible that the Prime Minister is saying that this country will attack Afghanistan, which is home to our Moslem brothers and sisters.'
Inevitably it raises the question, once again, of why Tabassam and her family stay here at all. If democracy is repellent to them, if the Government's position on terrorism is so misguided, if they feel a stronger allegiance to the strife of Moslems in Afghanistan than the bid to bring terrorism to an end, what holds them here?
'I was born here,' she says. 'And you do not choose where you are born. I'd love to get on a plane and go to Pakistan with my family. I cannot do that straight away, but it is my dream.
'Anyway, as Moslems we do not recognise borders. It is all God's land. But I pray for my brothers and sisters in Afghanistan, and I pray that there will be victory soon.'
It is impossible not to choke on this last crushing contradiction. The very freedoms afforded to Tabassam to speak out so openly in the first place would be among the first casualties of such a victory.
And so would the notion that we could sit together here in the prayer
room of a British mosque, children playing happily around us, freely arguing
the differences of our faith in a mood of polite and even good-natured
tolerance.
Residents powerless to remove illegal immigrants from their gardens |

By Daily Mail Reporter
At first sight, the piles of rubbish and debris strewn across this garden make it look just like a rubbish tip.
But on closer inspection, it is revealed to be a makeshift camp for desperate Eastern European immigrants.
Around a dozen are camping out in residents' gardens, sheds and even their trees as they cannot afford their own homes.
Those who live in the street in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, have been told they are powerless to remove the trespassers taking shelter on their land.
Two of the homeless immigrants are woken as they sleep in a shed in
Peterborough
Backyard invaded: Ian Treasure has been unable to get rid of
the illegal immigrant who now calls his back garden home
Groups of immigrants have moved into the gardens of at least six properties since November last year, leaving a trail of cider bottles, bags of human waste and drugs needles behind them.
Though homeowners have appealed for help, the police and council say they cannot arrest the trespassers - who have no passports and are mostly from Eastern Europe - because they claim it is a civil, not a criminal matter.
The immigrants gained access to the land through an open alleyway and sleep on dirty mattresses, using rolled-up blankets as pillows.
Ian Treasure, 41, one of the homeowners affected by the camps, said a man named Joseph from the Czech Republic was living in his garden coal shed.
Despite six phone calls to Peterborough City Council pleading with them to evict the immigrants and remove the mountains of dumped rubbish, he could not get the man to leave.
Mr Treasure said: 'The area has become overrun. It is disgusting and the worst thing is that nobody is doing anything about it. Every day it gets worse.
'It all started in November. I was looking out of the window and I saw a mattress in my coal shed. I went out and it turned out I had a lodger there.
'I'm not sure how many there are because I try to stay away from them
but I'm fed up because they regularly drink in our gardens and take drugs.'

Mr Treasure said he had asked the man, who speaks broken English and has scabs on his face, to leave dozens of times.
'The angriest I have got was the first time I saw drug needles there in January. I freaked out,' he said.
Mr Treasure added that he was incredibly frustrated that the council and police had done nothing to help him.
He added: 'The police's hands are tied. All they can do is just move them on and then they would be back so it would be a waste of time.'
Ricky Smith, 23, attempted to remove the squatter in his shed after catching him defecating on his lawn on Wednesday night.
He said: 'I slung all his belongings into a pile and told him to get out. I haven't seen him since so hopefully he has got the message.
'I caught him defecating on my lawn, where my dog plays. I had to build
a fence to keep him out of that part of the garden so my dog doesn't get
ill playing in his mess.'
Disgrace: Drugs and rubbish litter the area, but the local council
and police are powerless to step in
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said that the makeshift camps were not a criminal matter.
He said: 'Anybody is allowed to use reasonable force to stop people trespassing and get them off their property - much like a bouncer in a pub or club.
'If there is some sort of confrontation then we can step in and prevent a breach of the peace, but we cannot act directly against the trespassers.'
A spokesman for Peterborough council said: 'We are aware of a number of people who are sleeping in these gardens.
'We will be working to help them access the services which are available to them.'
Peterborough's MP Stewart Jackson today said Labour had failed to deal with immigration problems that have led to jobless migrants camping in British gardens.
The Tory MP said: 'The Labour government was warned that uncontrolled immigration would cause these sorts of problems.
'They have ignored Peterborough's needs and local taxpayers have been
forced to foot the bill for their foolish and misguided policies.'
DNA experts reveal China's ancient open door to West |

By Martyn McLaughlin
FOR four millennia their secrets lay hidden beneath the desert sands, the final resting place of a mysterious civilisation. And since their discovery in 1934, the Tarim mummies in China have perplexed historians and archaeologists.
• A 3,800-year-old mummy, known as the Beauty
of Xiaohe. Picture: Liu Yu Sheng/NYT/Complimentary
But a remarkable new study has found that the origins of the inhabitants of the ancient graveyard in the Taklimakan desert north of Tibet lie in Europe.
A team of Chinese geneticists have analysed the DNA of the Bronze Age cadavers and found that they are of mixed ancestry, displaying both European and Siberian genetic markers.
One expert in Chinese history at the University of Edinburgh said the tests revealed a "fascinating development". Professor Paul Bailey said the findings confirmed long-held suspicions that they had travelled to the autonomous region of Xinjiang from the West, well before the opening of the Silk Road in the 2nd century BC.
The graveyard of more than 200 mummies, known as Small River Cemetery No. 5, lies near a dried-up riverbed in the Tarim Basin, an inhospitable region encircled by mountain ranges.
The site was discovered by Folke Bergman, the Swedish archaeologist, in 1934 but then lay forgotten for 66 years until a Chinese expedition relocated it using GPS navigation.
Carbon testing carried out at Beijing University has dated the oldest of the mummies as far back as 3,980 years. However, until recently the history of how they came to be buried in the desert in upside-down boats was unclear.
That many of the mummies – well preserved thanks to the dry air and salty sands – displayed fair skin, brown hair, and long noses led to some educated guesses.
Bailey, professor of modern Chinese history at Edinburgh University, said: "There has always been talk of blue-eyed people inhabiting that area of China."
Confirmation came thanks to a team led by Dr Hui Zhou of Jilin University in Changchun. All the men who were analysed had a Y chromosome that is now mostly found in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Siberia, but rarely in China.
The mitochondrial DNA, which passes down the female line, consisted of a lineage from Siberia and two that are common in Europe.
Since both the Y chromosome and the mitochondrial DNA lineages are ancient, Dr Zhou and his team concluded the European and Siberian populations probably intermarried before entering the Tarim Basin 4,000 years ago.
Dr Victor Mair, a professor of Chinese at the University of Pennsylvania, who translated the studies by Dr Zhou's team, said several items in the graveyard resemble artefacts or relate to customs familiar in Europe, including the use of boats in burials, string skirts, and phallic symbols.
The findings, published in the BMC Biology journal, turn on its head the notion that the Far East was an isolated realm before the early Europeans ventured east for trade.
"Historians of early China are sympathetic to the view that there was interaction between what we could call China today and central Asia and further afield, both in terms of cultural transmission but also in terms of the transmission of technology," Bailey said. "The likes of bronze making and the use of the horse did not simply happen overnight in China."
Such a subject has caused considerable controversy in China, where the official account has it that Zhang Qian, a general of the Han dynasty, led a military expedition to Xinjiang in the second century BC.
Today the area is occupied by Turkish-speaking Uighurs, who have been joined in the past 50 years by Han settlers from China. Ethnic tensions have recently arisen between the two groups, with riots in Urumqi, the region's capital.
Bailey suggested that, although only a few decades ago the DNA results would have sparked anger in China, a new generation will be "interested" to learn of its early links with Europe.
"Twenty or 30 years ago this research would have been considered an abhorrent and controversial view that would have undermined Chinese pride in its indigenous cultural development," he said.
"But the situation is different nowadays, and I think this will be viewed positively. China is interested in its historic links with the rest of the world, and this development shows that the country had close ties with other areas, it wasn't closed off."
Work will now continue to uncover more details of the Tarim mummies. Already archeologists have found hundreds of poles, each 13ft tall, around the burial site, described as resembling oars from a galley. Clothes have also been recovered, including felt caps with feathers, woollen capes with tassels, and leather boots.
Their language remains unknown, but Dr Mair, an expert in the prehistory
of the Tarim Basin, believes it could have been Tokharian, an ancient member
of the Indo-European family of languages.
Use of Taser on Pregnant Woman Not Unconstitutional, Court Rules |
http://www.metnews.com/articles/2010/broo032910.htm
By a MetNews Staff Writer
The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals yesterday ruled that the Seattle Police Department’s use of a Taser on a pregnant woman, three times, to effect her arrest after she was stopped for a traffic violation, was not unconstitutionally excessive force.
A divided panel of the Court of Appeals concluded that Sergeant Steven L. Daman and officers Donald M. Jones and Juan M. Ornelas were entitled to qualified immunity from Malaika Brooks’ claims under 42 U.S.C. § 1983.
In November 2004, Brooks said, she was seven months pregnant when Ornelas stopped her for speeding as she was driving her son to school. The ticket states that she was traveling at 32 miles per hour in a 20 mile per hour school zone.
According to Brooks’ version of events, Ornelas and Jones both asked her to sign a Notice of Infraction, but she refused, insisting that she had not been speeding.
Ornelas then called Daman. When he arrived, he asked Brooks to sign the notice and then instructed the officers to “[b]ook her,” when she again refused.
At this point, Brooks was in her car with the ignition running and her door shut and refused to exit her vehicle. Jones then showed Brooks his Taser, explaining that it would hurt “extremely bad” if applied and demonstrated it for her.
Refusal to Exit
Brooks replied that she was pregnant and maintained her refusal to exit her car. Ornelas then opened the door, took the key out of the ignition, dropped the keys to the floorboard, and employed a pain compliance technique to Brooks in an effort to remove her from the vehicle.
After Brooks resisted, Jones discharged the Taser against her thigh, through her sweat pants, and she began to yell and honk the car’s horn. Jones tased her again on her shoulder and the exposed skin on her neck.
The third time the officer used the Taser, Brooks moved to the right, at which point the officers were able to pull her from the car. She was immediately seen by medical professionals, and two months later delivered a healthy baby.
Brooks was charged with violation of Seattle Municipal Code 11.59.090 for refusing to sign the notice and resisting arrest, but was only convicted of the first charge. She later filed suit against the officers for violation of her individual rights as well as assault and battery.
U.S. District Court Judge Richard A. Jones of the Western District of Washington denied the officers’ motion for summary judgment on Brooks’ claims, finding a clearly established constitutional violation of her rights.
Writing for the appellate court, Senior Judge Cynthia Holcomb Hall explained that Brooks’ refusal to sign the notice amounted to a violation of the Seattle Municipal Code, which gave the officers probable cause to detain her until a notice could be issued.
Initial Detention
Brooks’ conduct during this initial detention then gave the officers probable cause to place her under custodial arrest for obstructing an officer in violation of Washington law, Hall continued. Since the officers were acting in the discharge of their official duties in trying to obtain Brooks’ signature, her undisputedly uncooperative behavior interfered with their lawful attempts to carry out that duty, Hall said.
As for the reasonableness of the level of force used by the officers, Hall noted that the Taser had been set in “touch” or “drive-stun” mode, which causes only temporary localized pain, as opposed to the “dart” mode, which causes incapacitating muscle contractions.
She differentiated the case from Bryan v. McPherson, 590 F.3d 767, decided last December—which held the use of a Taser used in “dart” mode against a disoriented man for a seatbelt infraction was excessive—emphasizing that the plaintiff in that case suffered pain through his whole body causing him to fall face-first onto the pavement, shatter four teeth and suffer facial abrasions.
In contrast, Brooks only claimed to have sustained burn marks and to bear scars from the Taser. These injuries, while “certainly not insignificant, were “far less serious” than those inflicted in Bryan, Hall opined.
“[T]his case presents a less-than intermediate use of force, prefaced by warnings and other attempts to obtain compliance, against a suspect accused of a minor crime, but actively resisting arrest, out of police control, and posing some slight threat to officers,” Hall said, concluding that the officers’ use of force was reasonable and so the officers were entitled to qualified immunity.
Judge Diarmuid F. O’Scannlain joined Hall in her opinion, but Judge Marsha S. Berzon dissented.
“I fail utterly to comprehend how my colleagues are able to conclude that it was objectively reasonable to use any force against Brooks, let alone three activations of a Taser, in response to such a trivial offense,” Berzon said. “Obviously, the sensible reaction to [Brooks’] refusal to acknowledge the ticket in writing would have been to so note on the ticket and send her on her way.”
The case is Brooks v. City of Seattle, 08-35526.
New Homeland Security Report claims "Right-wing Extremism" is on the rise fueling resurgence in "radicalization" |

New Homeland Security Report claims "Right-wing Extremism" is on the rise fueling resurgence in "radicalization"
Several months ago, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a simliar report targeting conservatives and ideals as "Right-wing Extremism". After intense public scrutiny and a strong back-lash from Congressional conservatives, the report was retracted.
Now, with all the Tea-Party demonization efforts and hub-bub, DHS comes out with a rather timely report to further paint the Tea-Party movement into some "radical and/or racist" organization that is more or less violent. Logic would tell you this isn't the case, as we've seen, the Tea-Party movement is a mix of all races and political backgrounds including Dems, Repubs, Libertarians, Independents etc. etc.. The groups have protested peacefully since its' creation over a year ago. Other attempts to counter this group have also been tried (as with the Coffee Party).
The new report is 10 pages, and as you may have suspected, it starts with the "White Supremacist" and "anti-government" rhetoric claiming they have plans to carry out "violent acts" because of the current economic conditions causing foreclosures, unemployment etc. Like the old "lost teenager" synopsis for joining gangs, the DHS report mimics this saying the conditions are ripe for "recruitment".
On page 1, we get a summary of what these groups are about and that "right-wing extremists" are "capitalizing on the first African-American President" as a means for recruitment (though Obama is only 50% Black - go figure)...
— (U//LES) Threats from white supremacist and violent antigovernment groups
during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry
out violent acts. Nevertheless, the consequences of a prolonged economic
downturn—including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability
to obtain credit—could create a fertile recruiting environment for rightwing
extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and
government authorities similar to those in the past.
— (U//LES) Rightwing extremists have capitalized
on the election of the first
African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new
members, mobilize existing supporters, and broaden their scope and appeal
through propaganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning.
It goes on to say what we're seeing now is similar to the 1990's etc. (In case you didn't know, Bill Clinton was really the first Black President). This report, though, has a new twist about Veterans returning home. Instead of saying this time (as the last report) that they were mentally unstable and likely to form "anti-government" groups, this report claims that they are targets for recruitment by "right-wing Extremists" because of their military skills.
Yet, The Serve America Act (still in legislation), which aims to have 250,000 AmeriCorps members by the year 2017, also states that Veterans with these skills are ideal for recruitment into national service under this Act (page 234):
‘‘(ii) recruiting veterans, particularly returning veterans, into service opportunities, including opportunities that utilize their military experience;
So, the DHS reports echos exactly what is in the Serve America Act, but instead of serving the government, they would be serving "right-wing" extremists. So i guess both the DNC (sponsoring this bill) and "right-wing extremists" want these guys for their skills according to the Serve America Act and the DHS report. Go figure!
The rest of the DHS report goes on to explain these "conditions" causing an increase in hostility towards the govenment etc. There is a small section on "Disgruntled Veterans" too (now looking further down in the report).
The first report of this nature put intense pressure
on Janet Napolitano for releasing it. Will she get the same scrutiny for
this report?
CPS Warrior Nancy Schaefer Gunned Down |
http://www.infowars.com/cps-warrior-nancy-schaefer-gunned-down/
March 29, 2010
State investigators say the husband of former state Senator Nancy Schaefer shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. The couple’s bodies were found in their north Georgia home Friday. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation conducted autopsies on the Schaefer’s Saturday—investigators say all evidence points to the deaths as a murder-suicide. The bodies of Nancy and Bruce Schaefer, 73 and 74 years old respectively, were found by their daughter at the couple’s home in Clarkesville. Nancy Schaefer was a two-term state Senator representing Georgia’s 50th district. She lost her seat in 2008. Schaefer was also a candidate for mayor of Atlanta, Georgia lieutenant governor and governor of the state.
The corporate media does not bother to mention that Schaefer exposed the abuses of CPS and the international child sex slavery ring.
“Investigators told the Associated Press they believe Bruce Schaefer, 74, shot his wife once in the back while she slept in the bedroom early Friday morning and then shot himself in the head. Police found a handgun near his body and several letters written to family members, including a suicide note,” reports the Associated Baptist Press.
Other reports indicate Bruce Schaefer shot himself in the chest. People who commit suicide usually shoot themselves in the head.
“Contrary to early reports that Bruce Schaefer had cancer, the Gainesville Times reported March 27 that the couple’s daughter, who discovered the bodies, told the local sheriff her father was not suffering from any serious illness at the time of the shootings. Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell said some of the letters mentioned serious financial problems and speculated that might have been a motive,” Associated Baptist Press also reported.
Appearing on the Alex Jones Show last May, Schaefer detailed how CPS
is involved in child trafficking rings (see video below). After watching
Schaefer’s interview with Jones, if you think Schaefer was involved in
a suicide pact with her husband, you may also be interested in a famous
bridge for sale in Brooklyn.
