One raw day in early February, Vicki Valentine stood by helplessly as
real estate investors snatched her West Baltimore home over what began
with an unpaid city water bill of $362.
As snow threatened to fall, she watched a work crew hired by the new
owners punch out the lock on her front door. A sheriff’s deputy was on
the scene while Valentine and her teenage son piled whatever they could
into a borrowed car.
Running out of time, Valentine scrambled to pack up clothing and mementos.
The home had been her family’s for nearly three decades, and her father
had paid off the mortgage in 1984. “It’s hard to say goodbye to this house,”
she said. “It’s like someone forcing you out of something that belongs
to you. I don’t get it.”
Valentine lost the two-story brick row home after the city sold her
debt to investors through a contentious and byzantine legal process called
a “tax sale.” This little-known type of foreclosure can enrich investors
as growing numbers of property owners struggle to pay their bills.
These foreclosed homeowners are not the families making headlines for
taking on mortgages they could ill afford. Families ensnared in the tax
sale sometimes are unable to overcome relatively small debts owed to local
tax collectors.
Rather than collect the overdue money they are owed, many local governments
are selling tax liens. Buyers range from behemoths such as JPMorgan Chase
& Co, and some regional banks and law firms, to small-fry investors
lured by late-night television commercials promising quick riches. Investors
generally bid in an auction for the right to collect delinquent taxes and
other municipal debts on property owners, sometimes by paying only a few
hundred dollars. When owners can’t pay, investors can pick up property
at bargain prices.
It can be a good deal for everyone except the property owner. Selling
the debts to investors can help governments efficiently ease budget woes
without having the added expenses of debt collection, foreclosing and being
a landlord.
Investors, meanwhile, can rake in hefty profits. That’s because they
can tack on fees and steep interest rates, which can amount to 18 percent
annually in Baltimore.
In Valentine’s case, legal fees and other charges climbed past $3,600
– nearly 10 times her original bill.
Investors purchased an estimated $30 billion of real estate tax debt
held by governments across the country in 2009, double the amount a year
earlier, according to the Florida-based National Tax Lien Association.
Altogether, 29 states and the District of Columbia can sell tax lien debt
to investors.
Lien sales in Baltimore have nearly doubled since the housing bubble
of 2006. On Monday, the city sold 12,689 liens – a probable record. Properties
ranged from boarded-up shells and vacant lots to row homes in gentrified
neighborhoods and some commercial buildings.

This video from the University of Calgary thoroughly shows how brain
cells degenerate and die when being exposed to mercury. This is the same
neurotoxin that is found in vaccines, which has led the the massive increase
with people suffering from autism and other neurological diseases (mainly
children). Mercury is one of the most toxic substances you can put in a
human body. It is a heavy metal known to contribute to neurological disorders,
including autism, dementia, and even Alzheimer’s disease. Mercury also
tends to build up in tissues in the human body and is not easily removed,
so even small exposures to mercury can accumulate over time and end up
compromising the health of the person involved. It’s vital you do the proper
research before you plan to get any sort of vaccine injected in you especially
if you are planning to have your children vaccinated.

The purpose of the federal government’s neglect of protecting the border
with Mexico is so that illegal immigrants can pass through it, virtually
at will, in order to create a nearly open border. This accomplishes the
globalists’ objectives of weakening sovereignty and nationalism, developingeconomic
strife, and fomenting discord between taxpaying citizens and illegal immigrants,
which are necessary elements to implement the North American Union. Further,
it sets the stage for amnesty and the federal government’s immigration
bill that would establish a national ID card for all workers, the inroad
to REAL ID.
Arizona’s new immigration law (SB1070) <http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/…>
is controversial, but not for the reasons that mainstream media presents.
It’s controversy lies in the database collection on people, as opposed
to racism- this illusion is used to create drama. California has threatened
to boycott Arizona businesses, primarily travel- related services, including
food and lodging. California stands to benefit by drawing tourism away
from Arizona, and into California. It is also a way for California to deflect
attention away from its own immigration problems by demonizing Arizona.
In response to Los Angeles City Council’s vote to boycott Arizona, an
Arizona utility regulator <http://www.google.com…>
suggested “re-negotiation” of electrical power agreements with the City
of Angels; while this is probably just another act in the theatre of distraction,
Angelinos are already facing a 28% rate <http://www.fulldisclosure.net/…>
hike in power bills as a result of political maneuvers and/ or incompetence.
However, Arizona’s new immigration law may not be the picture of freedom
and sovereignty that has been painted. Due to some language in the law,
it is possible that any state agency or state subdivision may hand over
any data on any person for any public benefit, service or license . This
could set up a national database <http://www.campaignforliberty.com…>
for free flowing information to the Department of Homeland Security. In
effect, it paves the way to REAL ID, but without the official card; the
disturbing issue behind REAL ID is the massive amounts of data that can
be collected and tied together, in the possession of the federal government. |

F. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN FEDERAL LAW, OFFICIALS OR AGENCIES
OF THIS STATE AND COUNTIES, CITIES, TOWNS AND OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS
OF THIS STATE MAY NOT BE PROHIBITED OR IN ANY WAY BE RESTRICTED FROM SENDING,
RECEIVING OR MAINTAINING INFORMATION RELATING TO THE IMMIGRATION STATUS
OF ANY INDIVIDUAL OR EXCHANGING THAT INFORMATION WITH ANY OTHER FEDERAL,
STATE OR LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY FOR THE FOLLOWING OFFICIAL PURPOSES:
1. DETERMINING ELIGIBILITY FOR ANY PUBLIC BENEFIT, SERVICE OR LICENSE
PROVIDED BY ANY FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF
HIS STATE.
2. VERIFYING ANY CLAIM OF RESIDENCE OR DOMICILE IF DETERMINATION OF
RESIDENCE OR DOMICILE IS REQUIRED UNDER THE LAWS OF THIS STATE OR A
JUDICIAL ORDER ISSUED PURSUANT TO A CIVIL OR CRIMINAL PROCEEDING IN
THIS
STATE.
3. CONFIRMING THE IDENTITY OF ANY PERSON WHO IS DETAINED.
A better solution would be to protect any information that is collected
by keeping it within the State. And guarding the borders.
Incidentally, the author of the bill, State Senator Russell Pearce <http://www.russellpearce.com/text/abouttext.html>,
implemented an IBM electronic system <https://servicearizona.com/dlrinfo.html…>
that links drivers’ licenses with social security numbers within the DMV.
Pearce’s other “contributions” include the conception of the Maricopa County
Tent City program; remember that even petty criminals are held in the tent
cities that can exceed 120 degrees in the summertime. And citizens who
are not carrying identification can be arrested.
While Arizona pretends to be the model of freedom, it has hidden the
truth in another PR stunt: Governor Jan Brewer promised to allow the State’s
freeway speeding camera contracts expire. What the mainstream media isn’t
revealing is that these cameras comprise less than 10% of radar cameras
<http://sonoranalliance.com/2010/…/>
within Arizona. Arizona counties and cities have contracts with the foreign
camera company (Redflex), so more than 90% of the speeding cameras that
surveil private vehicles will remain. Redflex plans to expand its operation
into more states.

AG Corbett Subpoenas Twitter to Name Bloggers |

Harrisburg, Pa. - The state attorney general's office has issued a
subpoena threatening officials of the social networking service Twitter
with arrest unless they reveal the names of two bloggers who have been
critical of Attorney General Tom Corbett and his public corruption investigation.
The subpoena orders Twitter's custodian of records to provide "any
and all subscriber information" pertaining to the accounts "bfbarbie" and
"CasablancaPA," including name, address, contact information, creation
date, and Internet protocol address.
The accounts have criticized Corbett's use of grand juries, suggesting
he used the investigations for political gain and to go after political
opponents. |
|
The Twitter representative was supposed to appear before the statewide
investigating grand jury on May 14 to "give evidence regarding alleged
violations of the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania." The court
document does not specify what crime is being investigated.
The subpoena, issued May 6, further states that failure to attend may
result in an arrest warrant for contempt of court. It is not clear whether
Twitter has turned over the information.
Vic Walczak of the American Civil Liberties Union told Pittsburgh's
WTAE-TV that the court action "raises grave concerns about abuse of the
grand jury process to retaliate against political critics and opponents."
He said Americans "have a right to criticize government officials and to
do so anonymously."
Corbett, who won the Republican nomination for governor Tuesday night,
told the television station that he doesn't have any problem with people
criticizing him on Twitter. He refused to discuss the nature of the subpoena,
however, stating that the investigation prevents him from discussing the
matter.

The U.S. Coast Guard’s motto is “Semper Paratus,” Latin for “Always
Ready” or “Always Prepared.” In the case of BP’s Gulf oil disaster, the
Coast Guard is apparently always prepared to prevent the media from covering
Louisiana’s oil-soaked Gulf shoreline.
CBS journalists were threatened with arrest by BP contractors and the
Coast Guard when they attempted to film the beach. See the video below.
“This is BP’s rules, it’s not ours,” someone aboard the boat said. In
other words, BP is running the show, not the Coast Guard and the government.
Karl
Burkart, writing for Mother Jones, reports numerous, unconfirmed reports
of cameras and cell phones being confiscated, scientists with monitoring
equipment being turned away, and local reporters blocked from access to
public lands impacted by the oil spill.
“But wait,” writes Burkart, “isn’t that a public beach? From my viewpoint,
it looks as if the Coast Guard has been given direct orders to protect
BP’s PR interests above safety concerns over air and water quality, above
the outcries of local governments in need of aid, and (worst of all) above
the need for the American public to be informed about what is really going
on in the Gulf.” |
|
On May 7, Wayne
Madsen, writing for Oil Price, reported that the Obama administration
and BP are covering up the magnitude of the volcanic-level oil disaster
in the Gulf of Mexico and working together to limit BP’s liability for
damage. “Only after the magnitude of the disaster became evident did Obama
order Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to declare the oil disaster
a ‘national security issue.’ Although the Coast Guard and FEMA are part
of her department, Napolitano’s actual reasoning for invoking national
security was to block media coverage of the immensity of the disaster that
is unfolding for the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean and their coastlines,”
writes Madsen.
[video on source site and youtube] |
British Petroleum gave $71,000 to Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign,
more than John McCain or Hillary Clinton.
Madsen cites federal and state sources that indicate Obama and BP have
colluded to cover-up the extent of the oil leak. Satellite imagery is “being
withheld by the Obama administration that shows what lies under the gaping
chasm spewing oil at an ever-alarming rate is a cavern estimated to be
around the size of Mount Everest. This information has been given an almost
national security-level classification to keep it from the public, according
to our sources.”
BP releases propaganda on its effort to stem the
amount of oil pouring into the Gulf.
The effort to keep the magnitude of the leak from the public and limit
political damage to the Obama administration is apparently working. “The
Gulf of Mexico oil spill hasn’t stained President Barack Obama nor dimmed
the public’s desire for offshore energy drilling, according to a new Associated
Press-GfK Poll,” the Associated
Press reported on May 13. “More people surveyed said they approved
of Obama’s handling of the ongoing oil spill than disapproved, but not
by large margins or with unusually strong feelings. It contrasts with the
public’s reaction to President George W. Bush’s response to another Gulf
disaster, 2005’s Hurricane Katrina.” |
Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has characterized the leak as “Obama’s
Katrina.”

The private, foreign International Monetary/Banking Cartel controls
its puppets in Washington as it controls its oil company executives. And
everything the Cartel does is anti-life, there are absolutely no exceptions;
and their pretended Gulf oil clean-up is a glaring case in point.
Instead of cleaning up the unprecedented catastrophe created by the
Cartel’s mega-corporations (Halliburton, Transocean, and British Petroleum),
these very same companies seem to be purposely killing our Gulf of Mexico,
under the pretense of cleaning it up, with a chemical dispersant by the
trade name of Corexit.
This news will, of course, be meet with incredulous disbelieve by those
who have yet to catch on to the fact that the private interests that own
the Federal Reserve System, and all other central banks in the world, also
own all major multi-national corporations.
It is something you are not supposed to know, and is politically incorrect
to talk about: the International Monetary/Banking Cartel owns, or controls,
from its base in the financial District of London, and other undisclosed
places, all large international corporations. Wall Street and the Federal
Reserve banks of the US are merely the Cartel’s American subsidiaries.
The Cartel’s ownership of so much is hidden with various inter-linked,
inter-locked directorships, proxies, nominees, sophisticated fronts, and
the like. Their many corporations own shares of other corporations, who
own still more shares of other corporations.
Socialist author, geo/political analyst, and activist Mr. Ralph Schoeman
estimates there is less than one percent of the world’s population that
comprise the capitalist/ banking Cartel’s infrastructures, yet this private
Cartel owns over 95 percent of the world’s wealth, with each member holding
an average of 14 large corporate directorships.
The Cartel’s multinational corporations are an arcane mixture of many
corporations, all forming, in effect, one mega-corporation, ultimately
controlled, if not owned outright by the International Monetary/Banking
Cartel.
Even Harvard’s John Kenneth Galbraith, long recognized as America’s
leading public intellectual, has warned us of the dangers and oligopolistic
nature of large multi-national corporations.
Of the one hundred largest economic units in the world, today, 49 are
governments, while 51 are corporations. Those corporations are the driving
force on earth, and an open secret is these corporations are owned by the
International Monetary/Banking Cartel, who also controls the governments
of the world.
This is international fascism at work.
It’s not that private ownership is a bad thing; it’s when most of everything
is owned by an entente of the few, and protected by governments, that makes
private, corporate-led globalization of markets miasmatic to all other
life forms as it is currently occurring in the fragile ecosystems in our
Gulf of Mexico, with its biodiversity of many plant, animal and marine
species.
In short, our world is in the death grip of something known as the International
Monetary/Banking Cartel, the fountainhead of all international monopolies,
which are protected by the laws and militaries of the major governments
of the world; and the US government, with her perfidious politicians, has
lead in this defense of this Cartel, beginning sometime after President
Lincoln’s assassination.
Lincoln said, “Corporations have been enthroned. An era of corruption
in high places will follow … until wealth is aggregated in a few hands
… and the Republic is destroyed.”
Democratic politicians are the best agents for big business, because
of the popular belief that democratic politicians will protect the public
from the abuses of financial oligarchs, an easily provable myth.
It’s a sad truth that democratic voters, who see financial plutocrats
as their greatest adversaries, constantly support ever bigger government,
with more laws and regulations, do not have a clue how those very laws
are written by the Cartel’s “think tanks,” to more enrich and empower themselves.
And if one carefully explained all this to an average democratic voter,
they demand proof; and once proof was furnished, they’d ignore it all,
calling it a “right-wing conspiracy theory. So much for democratic voters,
they’ll not learn much political truth this life-time.
And how about rabid republicans voters? Well, thanks to right-wing,
war loving demigods like Rush Limbaugh, republicans have monopoly capitalism
confused with free markets and free enterprises, and do not want to make
any distinctions between them.
Unfortunately, those of us stuck deeply into the media’s carefully engineered
left/right paradigm have no desire be objective, and are thus blinded to
all truth that does not reinforce biased opinions. Remedial work in geo-politics
will not open the minds of such people, as they are badly in need of spiritual
remedies; nevertheless, facts are facts, and some are available to truthseekers,
like the killing of all life in our Gulf of Mexico.
Instead of using safe, non-toxic ways to gather up the rogue oil gushing
from their incompetence, or their planned cataclysm, this private Cartel
of oligarchs is using an extremely toxic chemical dispersant (Corexit),
with the approval of the Obama administration, to drive the surface crude
oil deeply underwater.
In a New York Times article by Paul Quinlan, British Petroleum (BP)
is using a dispersant with the trade name of Corexit, even though alternative
dispersants have been shown to be far less toxic, and in some cases nearly
twice as effective.
And even though scientists have warned that Corexit could cause long-term
harm to marine life, BP has ordered almost a million more gallons of the
deadly dispersant from Nalso, a company with whom BP enjoys a cozy relationship.
Even our own EPA data ranks Corexit as being 20 times more toxic, and
far less effective in handling southern Louisiana crude than some other
dispersants.
Historically, workers who have cleaned up after the use of Corexit have
suffered with health problems, including blood in their urine.
Carys Mitchelmore, a professor at the University of Maryland’s Environmental
Science asked, “Why wouldn’t you go for the lesser toxic formulation?”
BP spokesman Jon Pack defended the use of Corexit by saying their attention
is focused on plugging the leak [gusher], and not what dispersant is used.
“It’s a chemical [Corexit] that the oil industry makes to sell to itself,
basically,” said Richard Charter, a senior policy advisor for Defenders
of Wildlife.
Alan Levine, the head of Louisiana’s Department of Health and Hospitals,
said: “We don’t have any data or evidence behind the use of these chemicals
in the water. We’re now basically using one of the richest ecosystems in
the world as a laboratory.”
As reported in Britain’s Telegraph, Louisiana state Secretary of the
Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Robert Barham reported: “We’re very
disappointed in their [EPA and oil company executives] approach. The federal
procedures call for a consensus between federal authorities, the responsible
party and the states involved. When we met and expressed our concerns [over
the use of Corexit], apparently they decided to go without us.”
And go they did. Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency allowed BP
to turn our Gulf of Mexico into a toxic testing ground, instead of removing
the crude oil.
British Petroleum (BP) has even refused to use their own oil tankers,
lying in the Gulf, to suck up most of the runaway oil, and possibly salvage
it for sale later, as was done after a Saudi spill in the ‘90’s. That method
was so successful, it vacuumed up about 85 percent of that renegade oil.
Nick Pozzi, a former oil pipeline engineering and operations project
manager is puzzled why BP did not salvage perfectly good crude oil for
later sale, and to thereby protect marine and wildlife.
What Mr. Pozzi does not know is the oil companies are owned by the world’s
only legal counterfeiters – the International Monetary/Banking Cartel –
who can “print” all the money they want, so making money on Gulf oil was
not important to them. Killing the Gulf of Mexico, apparently, is important
to them, for their own cryptic and esoteric reasons.
If the Cartel had wanted to save marine life, any oil they had not vacuumed
up could have been mulched with any number of non-toxic materials, such
as “Oil Sponge,” a name trademarked by Phase III, Inc.
Rated as the “best performing” absorbent by the US Army Corp of Engineers,
Oil Sponge is 100% organic, and is made from renewable resources.
Oil Sponge is built using a microbial and nutrient package, capable
of transforming oil hydrocarbons into a safe bi-product of carbon dioxide
and water.
But, the governmental bureaucrats of the Obama administration, and the
Cartel’s oil executives, had no interest in using an environmentally friendly
product to clean up what is the greatest man-made environmental disaster
of all time … they seemed intent on making this unbelievable cataclysm
far, far worse, and one that could never be cleaned up.
It cannot yet be proven that the Monetary Cartel purposely blew up their
own wellhead, but the crimes they have committed in their so-called “clean-up”
efforts are well documented, in spite of no corporate media outrage. Well,
of course not, the Cartel that owns the oil companies also own their corporate
media.
After the Exxon Valdez incident of March 1989, Mycelx of Georgia developed
what looks like a paper towel to soak up to 50 times its weight in oil.
And while this product is used from the Middle East to Europe to Canada
it was of no interest to the parties Obama charged with cleaning up the
Gulf of the floating oil those very same parties caused.
Then there is the AmeriHaz Petroleum Solidifier that encapsulates environmental
contaminants, making crude oil and other oil like substances easy to retrieve,
which also proved to be of no interest to the Cartel.
Even hair naturally separates oil from water, leaving large tar globs,
in which mushrooms can then be seeded. And as the mushrooms grow, they
digest the oil, leaving non-toxic organics, which can then be composed
into soil, great for growing healthy vegetables.
Anyone who has ever had a bad hair day knows how well hair will retain
oil. In fact, Lisa Gautier, president of Matter of Fact (website for hair
salons) has collected 400,000 pounds of hair, and stuffed it all into nylons
to be used as booms near Gulf shores.
This idea could have been a shot in the arm of our dying economy, by
creating organic compose for the millions of nutrient depleted farm acres
in the world. Also there could have been a viable cottage industry of collecting
hair from salons.
And, hair is certainly a renewable resource, with most of us contributing.
But neither Obama or the Cartel has done anything for our dying US and
world economy, but ensure it dies, while feebly pretending to resuscitate
it.
And now that they’ve probably destroyed the tourist, shrimping, and
fishing industries along the Gulf Coast, we’ll be hearing about more “stimulus
packages” that will make what money we do have even more worthless as it
enriches the Cartel’s Wall Street.
But in the world of what could have been, there’s hay, sawdust, crushed
volcanic rock, sheep’s wool, and even kitty litter that could have mulched
with the oil on the surface of the Gulf waters, making for easy pick-up.
But, oil industry executives and their confederates in the Obama administration
quickly made sure that all spewing oil would either sink well below the
surface, or never rise to it, with over half a million gallons of their
dispersants. Now the oil that’s been gushing for weeks can never be vacuumed
up or safely neutralized.
Worse yet, these international enemies of humanity, and life in the
Gulf, committed their dastardly deed of deeply submerging the floating
oil with their extremely dangerous chemical dispersant, Corexit, that would
deny all marine creatures oxygen, thus killing them, and marine plant life
to boot, as major underwater currents carry this poisonous oily plume through-out
the Gulf and into the Atlantic.
Trying to give this mass murder a positive spin, BP spokesman John Crabtree
said his corporation had dropped more than 560,000 gallons of Corexit on
the surface slicks and 28,700 gallons of the chemical at the subsea wellhead,
5,000 feet below sea-level.
Crabtree’s justification for such an insane, criminal act was that their
Corexit would drive the oil well below the water’s surface, thus keeping
it away from coastal shorelines. So instead of removing the oil, BP decided
to make the oil even more toxic, and drive it deep into the ocean where
it can never be retrieved, but will kill all marine life in its path.
Mandy Joyce, a marine sciences professor at the University of Georgia
carefully chose her words about BP’s deplorable dispersants: “Anything
that requires oxygen will not be able to survive that water. The food web
is going to change. You could stymie the entire production level of the
Gulf of Mexico. That’s a very real possibility.”
Some of BP’s chemical dispersants contain 2-butoxyethanol, a compound
that kills marine and wildlife, exactly the life our clean-up measures
should try to save.
Corexit, currently being dropped by airplanes, break the crude oil into
tiny droplets that sink well below the water’s surface, where they form
a giant cloud or plume, making it impossible to gather, as is their obvious
intention.
And with this poisonous plume creating a dead zone, currently estimated
to be about the size of Delaware and Rhode Island combined, hidden at about
3,000 feet of water, no one can place an accurate figure on how much oil
has actually rushed into the Gulf.
And once this death dealing plume reaches the large, rapidly moving
Loop Current, this oily cloud of doom could swing toward Florida and Cuba,
killing the coral reefs and marine life there.
According to Stephen Howden, an oceanographer at the University of Southern
Mississippi, the Loop Current could drag the oxygen destroying cloud into
shallower waters thus potentially impacting the coral reefs and fisheries
near Florida’s coast.
University of Georgia’s Mandy Joyce said, “It’s a good thing the oil
is not damaging the coast line, but to say everything is fine because its
not hitting the coast is missing a very important part of this equation.”
And I would say, Ms. Joyce’s statement is a serious understatement.
Another person famous for misleading and under stated remarks is our
president, Barack Obama.
There can be no denying that President Obama and his EPA regulators
are accomplices to the crimes in the Gulf of Halliburton, Transocean, and
British Petroleum by allowing these perpetrators of the disaster to be
the ones in charge of the capping and clean-up efforts.
How much longer will our government allow these corporate criminals
to fail with the capping of the oil gushers ,and making a dead zone of
the Gulf of Mexico and perhaps the Atlantic ocean?
Thus far, President Obama has made a grandstand play by pretending to
excoriate the oil company executives responsible for the Gulf tragedy for
not taking proper responsibility.
Excuse me Sir, it’s you who should have taken control and responsibility
by tasking competent individuals and companies to cap this runaway well,
and to clean up the mess, without destroying the entire Gulf of Mexico
in the process.
And instead of excoriating the oil company executives and government
bureaucrats who dumped over a half million gallons of toxic dispersants
into the Gulf, you should be arresting them for crimes against humanity,
not to mention their crimes against marine and wildlife.
Additionally, Obama’s teleprompter writers had the ignorance to state
the ridiculous: “I know BP has committed to pay for the response effort,
and we will hold them to their obligation,” read Obama.
The very obvious point Mr. Obama, is you should have saved our Gulf
of Mexico, by making sure Transocean, Halliburton, and British Petroleum
had absolutely nothing to do with the clean-up efforts, rather than making
them pay to turn the Gulf into a dead zone.
President Obama went on to say many parties, including the federal government
should accept blame for the disaster, he stopped short of saying he, himself,
should be held responsible for his part in so destroying so much life in
the Gulf.
“There is oil leaking. We need to stop it, and we need to stop it as
soon as possible,” said Obama.
It’s not a leak, Mr. Obama. It’s a volcanic gusher spewing out an Exxon
Valdez every two to four days.
Best selling author Whitley Strieber wrote, “The Gulf spill is out of
control, the media has dropped it, BP is lying, the gov’t is silent. Pray.”
From whales and dolphins to sardines, from starfish to coral reefs,
from microscopic organisms to all the fish in the sea, the Cartel has embarked
upon killing them all, and will continue to kill … unless they are stopped.
Are you man enough for the job, Mr. President?
Dictator Of Failed State Lectures Americans About
Freedom |

Americans were once again forced to endure the dictator of a failed
state which represses and subjugates its citizens as a matter of course
lecturing the U.S. about how ‘his people’ were being discriminated against
yesterday when unelected Mexican President Felipe Calderon bashed the Arizona
illegal immigration law.
Calderon commented, “Such laws as the Arizona law…is forcing our people
to face discrimination,” during
a visit to the White House.
Calderon
later attacked the second amendment in a speech to the U.S. Congress,
blaming Mexico’s spiraling drug violence on guns being smuggled from inside
America, while failing to mention the fact that lax border security, something
he vehemently supports – but only on American borders – is the primary
cause of this problem.
Calderon’s use of the term “our people” is a slap in the face of every
American and every Hsipanic American who has emigrated legally. Since when
did a leader of a foreign nation address his own constituency from within
an entirely different country? If the millions of illegal aliens living
in America see themselves as Mexicans then why do they insist on staying
in the U.S. illegally? |
|
Maybe Calderon should be more worried about discrimination against Mexicans
who are actually still living in Mexico. His sudden concern for the rights
of his people didn’t seem so important when he “assumed” office as President
despite the Federal
Electoral Tribunal admitting major irregularities with the voting in
the 2006 election.
Calderon is an illegitimate dictator who has presided over a failed
state run by drug cartels and crime bosses. For him to lecture the United
States on how to run a country is like Pol Pot wagging the finger at someone
for human rights abuses.
Mexico is a total police state where its inhabitants and anyone who
dares visit are subjected to some of the most draconian and brutal law
enforcement measures on the planet.
As
Arizona resident Mike Sweeney writes, “Having traveled into Mexico
last year to various cities on the Baja Peninsula, a distance of more than
1,000 miles round-trip, we were stopped more than 20 times at various checkpoints.
At most of those stops, we were told to exit the vehicle and we were subjected
to rigorous inspections.
“Where does Mexican President Felipe Calderón get off with his
hypocritical outrage at our Senate Bill 1070?”
Arizona is attempting to enforce a law that is significantly fairer
than that followed by Mexico itself.
“Under the Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony, punishable
by up to two years in prison. Immigrants who are deported and attempt to
re-enter can be imprisoned for 10 years. Visa violators can be sentenced
to six-year terms. Mexicans who help illegal immigrants are considered
criminals,” reports
the Washington Times.
Mexico also bars foreigners who upset “the equilibrium of the national
demographics,” which is the very definition of racial discrimination.

Macomb, Ill. —
Multiple area law enforcement agencies responded
to the Spoon River College 2nd Floor Auditorium in response to a simulated
active shooter incident Wednesday.
More than 100 Macomb Police Department,
McDonough County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State
Police District 14 and Western Illinois University
Office of Public Safety personnel participated in the
annual four day Rapid Response Training exercise at
the Spoon River College Macomb campus on Wednesday. |
More than 100 Macomb Police Department, McDonough
County Sheriff’s Department, District 14 Illinois State Police 14 and Western
Illinois University Office of Public Safety personnel participated in the
annual Rapid Response Training (RRT) this week.
The four-day training program was made up of two phases - one for command
personnel and another for responding officers - and focused on an active
shooter incident at Spoon River College. Rapid response trainers, certified
through the United States Attorney’s Office, and master firearms instructors
from all four agencies facilitated the training.
Macomb Police Chief Curt Barker said in addition to better preparing
for an active shooter, another purpose of the training is to work on deficiencies
noted at last year’s training, which took place at Western Illinois University.
“We came up with an after action review, we came up with an improvement
plan and based on that plan is a lot of the key factors we’re working on
today,” said Barker. “I believe overall we did an outstanding job at the
exercise we did at Western, but you always identify those items that you
want to get better at, and that’s what we’re working on here. There’s always
room to improve.”
|
Aside from SRC and WIU, RRT has taken place at Macomb High School and
Edison and Lincoln schools.
Barker said that while the training prepares officers for incidents
at businesses and factories as well, the training generally focuses on
schools due to public response to the tragedies at Columbine and Virginia
Tech.
“We want to be very familiar with all the different schools, so every
year we rotate around to get a different perspective,” said Barker. “Every
building is different, every corner and layout’s different, so this helps
in case we did happen to have something here, officers are familiar with
the buildings.”
The RRT was carried out in a “crawl, walk, run” format, beginning with
classroom lectures, then practical technique training in the gymnasium
and parking lot, and finally carrying out realistic scenarios, in which
officers dressed in tactical gear and used Simunition guns, similar to
paintball guns.
MCSO Lt. Justin Lundgren served as the scenario facilitator at the training,
acting as a “go-between” and ensuring “cohesive” collaboration among all
jurisdictions.
“You always have glitches, because people work with who they’re comfortable
with by nature,” said Lundgren. “We may have a group of state troopers
that work comfortably with their group, but if we see a team working too
well together, we’ll move them around, because they’re not a swat or tactical
response team that does this everyday. They’re regular patrol officers
who may have to respond at a moment’s notice, regardless of who they’re
paired with.”
McDonough County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Cremer said he believes the annual
training is “extremely important,” especially learning how to adapt to
the various scenarios.
“We need to realize that we’re not sheltered, just because we’re not
a large city or anything like that, it can happen here,” said Cremer. “It’s
important to work together with the different agencies and learn how to
respond to it...and resolve it with minimal injury to anyone.”
Student Suspended for Wearing Rosary Beads |

The mother of Raymond
Hosier, 13, who was suspended for wearing rosary beads to school, met with
school administrators Thursday.
They
told her that they are standing by their policy which states that beads
are not allowed to be worn out of concern they may be gang related.
She
tells FOX23
News that administrators said if Hosier shows up to school Monday with
the beads on - he will be suspended again.
Tonight
on FOX23
News at 10 and 11 we’ll hear from her.

Raymond Hosier clinged to his rosary beads and he doesn't plan on taking
them off.
"They're in honor of my brother and uncle and that's how it's gonna
stay," he said.
Raymond said on Monday that the principal at Oneida Middle School told
him to take off or hide his rosary per school policy. But he didn't and
went back to school on Tuesday. When Raymond went in on Wednesday he was
suspended.
District leaders tell FOX23 News and the school's policy states that
students may not wear beads out of concern they may be gang related.
"I was just mad they were suspending me for rosary beads and I told
them I wasn't in a gang. They just resemble my brother and uncle," said
Hosier.
Raymond recently started wearing the religious symbol every day in rememberance
of his older brother Joey who was struck and killed by car back in 2005
and for his uncle who died of cancer two weeks ago.
"I think it's not right to kick me out of school for wearing rosary
beads," said Hosier. |

school for wearing rosary beads |
"He's got rights as a citizen. He's got the right to demonstrate his
religion," said Raymond's mother Chantal Hosier.
His mother says Raymond is not a trouble maker at all, in fact he does
well in school and gets A's and B's.
But the death of Joey is still tough on the family.
"Honestly, there's some of my children that haven't even dealt completely
with Joey's death and if this is their way than that's their way," said
Chantal Hosier.
Raymond says he won't take off his rosary beads, hopeful the school
has a change of heart.
"I just hope I can keep wearing them without getting in trouble or suspended
from school," said Raymond Hosier.
A school spokeswoman says they cannot comment on cases involving suspended
students.
Chantal Hosier plans on meeting with school administrators on Thursday.
